In-Site software Dongle error message
1. Introduction
This article outlines the reason for the error message "Attach
Dinkey Dongle to your machine to make this program run" occurring
whilst attempting to import rpp files into In-Site.
2. The reason for the error message
The fully licensed version of In-Site
software requires a USB Dongle, also referred to as a dinky dongle. The
evaluation package runs without the dongle. A test site is supplied with
the software and allows users to look at data, graphs and use other
functions, however does not allow the user to import or print data.
If you have the fully licensed version of In-Site, you will have received a USB Dinkey Dongle. Once you have received the dongle, by inserting the dongle into a
USB port on a computer with In-Site pre loaded the software can be used
immediately, with no further installation required.
